Kelley Robins Hicks is a filmmaker drawn to the secrets we keep, the things that push us, and the communities that remain hidden.
Shaped by the rich landscape of Houston, Texas, and sharpened by the world, she produces stories that pulse with emotional truth and cultural resonance. Her path has never been linear. From college athlete to actor to producer, her work has always been about discipline, presence, and voice.
Her work moves between forms: narrative, documentary, hybrid, and unscripted. She is never bound by genre, always rooted in story. Queen of Glory, which she produced, earned Independent Spirit Award nominations and a home at Tribeca. As Executive Producer of HBO’s Random Acts of Flyness, she helped steer one of the boldest experiments in modern television to a Peabody win.
She has a gift for finding the structure inside chaos, for shaping character arcs with care, and for mentoring new voices with rigor and grace. She has been a resident artist, a speaker on global stages, and a collaborator in rooms where nothing existed yet, only potential.
